10 Amazing Uses for Salt

#1 (my favorite!) For softer hands, rinse hands with cool water and then take a pinch or two of salt and rub all over hands for about 30 seconds. Then rinse again with cool water and use lotion.

#2 To keep flowers in a vase lasting longer, add a pinch of salt to the water after you cut the bottoms of the flower stems a tiny bit. It will keep them lasting longer.

#3 To tell if eggs are rotten, put an egg in a cup of salt water, if it sinks it is good if it floats it is rotten.

#4 To keep ants away, sprinkle salt around windows and doors they wont walk across the salt.

#5 For faster nut shelling soak the nuts in a cup of salt water for a while and then crack them.

#6 For healing mouth sores, dry irritated area of mouth then dab a bit of salt on on sore or pour a spoonful of salt in a cup of warm water and rinse mouth with it.

#7 In the harsh Colorado winters keep your windows from frosting over by wiping them down with salt water.

#8 When things cooking in the oven spill and make a mess, pour enough salt to cover the spill the mess will turn light and crusty and you will be able to wipe it off with a bath cloth once the oven cools.

#9 Want your cooking water to be hotter? Then put salt in the water you are going to boil. The water will boil hotter but not faster.

#10 For sparkling coins use a mixture of salt and vinegar and put coins into the mixture leave it there for about 12 hours. When you come back your coins should be sparkling and clean!
